Rum Bay Restaurant: Reviews & Ratings
Wow. What an incredible experience. Not just a meal, but an experience. Let me start with Service. Incredibly, fantastic. Our server, Kristen, so attentive, everything was prompt, and just right. The food was absolutely fantastic. The burger was the best burger I think I have ever had. Cooked perfectly. And the flavor, wow, out of this world. Thank you for making this a great experience for us.
We enjoyed a fantastic evening at Rum Bay Restaurant on Palm Island. The quick water taxi ride over just adds to the experience — it feels like a little adventure before dinner even begins. We went with a group of friends and had a wonderful night. The food was excellent, the atmosphere relaxed and coastal, and the service friendly and attentive. It’s the kind of place where you can unwind, enjoy great conversation, and take in the island vibe. A memorable dinner spot and well worth the short boat ride. We’ll definitely be back!
I didn't even know this place existed. My husband hadn't been there in decades. It is awesome. It's off the intercoastal end. It's a resort. Also, the restaurant is part of the resort and there's a little pathway that's reserved for guests, but we walked out to the beach to the Gulf in beautiful. Beautiful white sand now the resort is coming back after the hurricane. It's still not 100%, but the restaurant is open and it's so cute and the food was really good. We had 3 things, and they're all delicious. We had the grilled blue cheese tomatoes. The black bean burger and the coconut shrimp and I would go back and eat it all again. The service was awesome, and we got there by boat. I'm not sure if you can get there. By car, I don't know if they allow you to drive in. I saw many golf carts a great little place
A Palm Island staple. The restaurant sits on the second level. The small grocery shop and Coconuts ice cream is on the first level. Outdoor dining is available, weather permitting. The menu offers American fare with a dash of flair. My favorite is the Yucca fries, which is sometimes seasonally offered. To-go is available in case you want to dine in your house or room at the resort. Since it is the only venue on-island, expect long wait times on busier nights. It is an early crowd. If you’ve never been here before, make sure you know about the parking lot. You have to either walk or use a golf cart to get to the restaurant. It is a fairly long walk, especially if you’re not expecting it. Most island goers know the routine and get around in golf carts.
Excellent food and great service. Even though it was very busy we still got our food and drinks quickly.
What a fun place! Got there when they opened...seated outside...so great. Food was fabulous! You get HUGE servings! Tropical Salad was amazing. Definitely a must when in the area!
Outstanding lunch here. The fish tacos were excellent. The grouper sandwich was extremely flavorful. And the key lime pie . . . chef's kiss! There is no skimping on the liquor in the drinks either! lol. Our server was great too!
Pretty standard beach food for Florida. A fairly simple selection of draft beer and good fresh fish and shrimp options. Really nice and attentive service.
